Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing primary and urgent veterinary care for dogs and cats and is hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic focuses on delivering high-quality, compassionate medicine across a broad range of preventative, medical, and surgical services.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm and is closed on Sundays. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to a mixed caseload of dogs and cats. Clinical duties include wellness exams, diagnostics, imaging, surgery, spaying and neutering, oral health care, vaccinations, prescription management, nutritional counseling, and care for puppies, kittens, adult, and senior pets. The role also includes managing urgent care presentations during open hours, such as gastrointestinal cases, wounds, infections, limping, growths, rashes, urinary issues, poisoning, and other acute concerns. While the hospital is not an emergency facility, life-saving procedures are performed when required during operating hours. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a well-established clinical environment delivering primary care, diagnostics, imaging, surgery, oncology diagnostics, dermatology, behavioral consultations, euthanasia, microchipping, travel documentation, and urgent care. The caseload is varied and supported by strong clinical infrastructure, with an emphasis on thorough medicine and patient comfort.
Team
The team is made up of 2 DVMs and a great support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
