Job Description

Introduction
A well-equipped small animal hospital in Everett, Washington is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Providing care for dogs and cats, the hospital has a broad General Practice offering alongside more advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, giving its veterinarians plenty of scope to manage cases within the hospital. There’s also access to a wider network of veterinarians and board-certified specialists when another perspective or additional clinical support would be useful.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload and stay closely involved throughout your patients’ care. You’ll work across general medicine, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery and dentistry, with access to the hospital’s wider clinical capabilities when managing more involved cases. There’s plenty of opportunity to use your own clinical judgement when working through diagnostics and treatment plans, while still having colleagues and additional veterinary expertise to lean on when needed. Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Emergency Care, with additional capabilities including advanced dental care and soft tissue surgery. Equipment and clinical infrastructure available include, but are not limited to, Radiography, Dental Radiography, Ultrasound, an In-House Laboratory, EKG capabilities, an In-House Pharmacy, an In-Office Surgical Suite and an Isolation Ward, giving the veterinary team a good range of resources for working up and managing cases within the hospital. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Saturday appointments available one Saturday per month and the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be working alongside an established clinical and client service team, including credentialed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants and client service professionals. There’s a nice emphasis on everyone playing their part within the hospital, with the wider support team helping veterinarians stay focused on their cases and patient care. The hospital also has access to a much larger veterinary and specialist network, giving you additional people to reach out to when a case would benefit from another opinion or a different area of expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
