Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a part-time Veterinarian to join a companion animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive preventive, medical, surgical, and diagnostic care for dogs and cats and is looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while building strong relationships with clients and patients. The position is available across multiple locations and is open to both recent graduates and experienced veterinarians. The practice emphasizes preventive medicine, professional development, flexible scheduling, and veterinarian autonomy within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide preventive, medical, and surgical care for companion animals while promoting lifelong pet health through wellness-focused medicine. Responsibilities include conducting wellness examinations, administering vaccinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, maintaining comprehensive medical records, and educating clients on treatment plans and preventative healthcare. Additional clinical duties include behavior evaluations, skin and coat care, nutrition counseling, parasite prevention and treatment, gastrointestinal diagnostics and treatment, dentistry, dental radiography, general surgery, orthopedic evaluations, spays and neuters, microchipping, and end-of-life care. The role also involves mentoring and collaborating with support staff, contributing to a positive hospital culture, and practicing evidence-based medicine while maintaining veterinary ethical standards. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates seeking professional growth and support.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays. Flexible scheduling is available. The practice is equipped with digital radiology, dental digital radiography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and an in-house veterinary pharmacy. Diagnostic and imaging capabilities support the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Services offered include preventive healthcare, wellness examinations, vaccinations, behavior evaluations, skin and coat care, nutrition counseling, parasite prevention and treatment, gastrointestinal diagnostics and treatment, general surgery, spays and neuters, orthopedic evaluations and treatment, dental cleanings, dental digital radiography, diagnostic imaging, microchipping, DNA testing, in-house laboratory diagnostics, pharmacy services, hospice and end-of-life care, and drop-off services.
