Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a multi-species practice providing care to cats, dogs, pet birds, reptiles, poultry, and wildlife. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian who enjoys working across a diverse caseload in a collaborative and well-supported environment. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes a wide range of clinical responsibilities such as wellness and preventative care, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic services. Daily duties involve performing procedures including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental work with extractions, as well as managing medical cases through diagnostics such as ultrasound, radiography, and laboratory testing. The position also includes treating injuries and urgent cases, providing client education, and delivering high-quality care across both companion animals and exotic species. This role is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
Our client is a fully equipped hospital with modern technology including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, an in-house IDEXX integrated laboratory system, ultrasound, laser, Ligasure and cautery, and a paperless IDEXX Cornerstone system. The practice offers a wide range of services including wellness and vaccinations, urgent care, full-service dentistry with dental x-rays and extractions, general surgery, diagnostic testing, chiropractic care, and grooming and maintenance care. The hospital also provides care for a broad range of exotic species, supporting a diverse and engaging caseload. The practice maintains a loyal and engaged client base that values thorough communication and high-quality medicine. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, including skilled Certified Veterinary Technicians. The environment is collaborative and efficient, with strong technician support that allows veterinarians to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
