Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital currently hiring for a part-time Associate Veterinarian. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian looking to join a well-established team in a flexible, collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This is a part-time position with flexibility for candidates interested in working 20 or more hours per week. Specific doctor hours are open to discussion, and the role includes full-time benefits despite the part-time schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves full general practice responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong surgical skills and be comfortable with a wide range of clinical duties including examining animals to assess their health, diagnosing problems, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgeries, testing and vaccinating against diseases, operating diagnostic equipment, prescribing medication, advising pet owners, and collaborating closely with the team to deliver high-quality care. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital operates out of a fully renovated, 4,000-square-foot facility and is equipped with state-of-the-art medical and diagnostic tools. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, and an in-house pharmacy.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by tenured support staff. The environment is collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and delivering high standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
