Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice in Elmont, New York, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a growing team. The clinic focuses on delivering high-quality veterinary medicine while building strong, long-term client relationships. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to support their expanding caseload and continue providing compassionate care to their patients, including small animals and exotic species.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice is open Monday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday starting at 9:00 AM, with closing times not specified. There are no on-call or overnight shifts. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility to support work–life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care across a varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, urgent care, end-of-life care, and the treatment of exotic animals. The role emphasizes practicing thorough, compassionate medicine and building trusted client relationships.

The clinic is a well-established practice serving a loyal and diverse client base. It is well equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratories, dental radiography, ultrasound, and additional modern diagnostic and treatment tools. Team

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
