Job Description
The practice is full-service, newly remodeled, small animal hospital that treats dogs, cats, and sees a variety of exotics, including small mammals, reptile, and avian species. Their hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, Tonovet, and ultrasound (2019 model). They are paperless and use eVet/Covetrus Pulse for electronic medical records. Most importantly, they have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do. Their medical director has a passion for surgery and performs a large variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, and dentistry. She is trained in the TTA procedure, lateral suture, patellar repair, FHOs, and amputations and usually performs 3-4 orthopedic surgeries per week. Their surgery suite contains a hydraulic, heated surgical table, suction, orthopedic equipment, and monitoring equipment. They also have cold laser, which can be used post-op. Pre-operative lab work, IV catheter, and IV fluids are required for every anesthetic patient.
