Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on a flexible full-time or part-time basis. The practice offers general practice, urgent care, and exotic medicine, with doctors able to choose whether exotics form part of their individual caseload. The hospital has been established in its community for more than 60 years and offers a diverse caseload alongside clinical autonomy and collaborative support.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide care across general practice and preventative medicine, urgent care and walk-ins, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, chronic disease management, and client education. Veterinarians interested in exotic medicine can also work with an established exotic clientele, although seeing exotics is not required. Appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes, 40 minutes or longer, depending on the patient and case. Surgery days are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Full-time doctors typically alternate between three-day and five-day working weeks, including every other Saturday, with no traditional on-call requirement. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with structured mentorship available for new graduates and clinical autonomy for experienced doctors.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and is closed on Thursdays and Sundays. The practice is AAHA accredited and operates from an upgraded, well-equipped facility that was rebuilt in 1994. Services include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, dentistry and teeth cleaning, spay and neuter procedures, laser therapy for pain relief, urgent care, walk-in appointments, internal medicine, chronic disease management, and euthanasia and cremation services.

Team
There are 13 DVMs across three hospital locations, with doctors working collaboratively across cases and experienced colleagues available for additional clinical perspectives. The hospital has a dedicated and tenured support team, with approximately 1.5 technicians per DVM, and technicians are encouraged to contribute their knowledge as part of the medical team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, open communication, clinical autonomy, and professional development, with mentorship for newer graduates tailored to their individual comfort level and growth goals.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
