Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice providing general veterinary care for cats and dogs and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established and highly respected team. This full-service hospital is known within the community for delivering high-quality care and maintaining strong client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with Saturday coverage required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for managing a varied caseload including wellness and preventative care, surgery, dentistry, and sick patient visits. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, developing treatment plans, and maintaining strong client communication while delivering high standards of care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This is a small animal general practice with an average daily patient volume of 16 cases, offering a caseload focused on wellness, surgery, and dentistry. The clinic is equipped with digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capabilities. The practice is AAHA accredited and has been recognized as hospital of the year in the local area for several years, reflecting its commitment to excellence. The team culture is described as collaborative, team-oriented, and supported by highly skilled staff, with a strong emphasis on medical autonomy and career development. Services include wellness care and exams, vaccinations, illness and injury care, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter, parasite prevention, deworming, pet surgery, nutrition and diet counseling, urgent care, emergency care, and advanced surgery.

The practice currently has 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, providing a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
