Our client is a hospital providing care for cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team near Albany, New York. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care across a varied caseload that includes cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets. Responsibilities include preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, diagnostic investigations, client communication, and patient management. The role involves working collaboratively with a highly experienced support team while contributing to a fast-paced environment that handles a wide variety of cases, including those resembling urgent care. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This full-service animal hospital operates from a 7,200-square-foot facility designed to maximise comfort and minimise stress for both patients and owners. Equipment and facilities include a dual-table surgical suite, a dental suite with digital radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, advanced digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, onsite diagnostics, and a pharmacy. Services offered include preventative care, puppy and kitten care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, internal medicine, dental care with dental radiography, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, spay and neuter procedures, ultrasound, laser therapy, geriatric care, hospice and euthanasia services, health certificates, boarding, grooming, obedience training, daycare, and care for rabbits and exotic pets. Visiting specialists are also available for cases requiring additional expertise. Full-time veterinarians work 35–40 hours per week, including a Saturday rotation and at least one weekday off. Appointment times are 20 minutes, and the hospital offers technician appointments to support workflow. The on-call rotation is limited to phone triage only, with no in-clinic emergency coverage.

Team
The hospital is staffed by 7 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The practice maintains an approximate 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, including licensed veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
