Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited, 24-hour veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Day-Shift Urgent Care and General Practice Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides care for small animals and exotics and operates both a general practice and emergency center. The position offers a varied caseload combining general practice and urgent care within an established hospital with advanced diagnostic resources and collaborative clinical support.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Day-Shift Veterinarian will provide general practice and urgent care medicine, managing a varied caseload supported by the hospital’s diagnostic, surgical, and critical care capabilities. The role provides the opportunity to practice with clinical autonomy while having experienced colleagues available for collaboration and second opinions. Flexible and block scheduling opportunities are available. New graduates are welcome, with structured mentorship and professional development available.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 8am – 6pm Mon, Weds & Fri, 8am-7pm Tues and Thurs and 8am – 4.30pm on Saturday, as well as providing 24/7 urgent and emergency care alongside its general practice services. The 15,000-square-foot facility houses both a general practice and emergency center and is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical suites, dental suites, and in-house diagnostic capabilities. The hospital has been AAHA accredited since 1975 and provides a strong and consistent caseload across general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, surgery, critical care, and exotic medicine. The practice has an established client base and provides doctors with the resources and medical autonomy to manage a wide variety of cases.

Team
The hospital has an experienced and collaborative veterinary and support team, including experienced technicians who allow doctors to focus on clinical medicine. Veterinarians have access to colleagues for case discussion and second opinions rather than practicing in isolation. The environment emphasizes clinical autonomy, teamwork, mentorship, and continued professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
