Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in Durham, North Carolina, and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including wellness examinations, preventive medicine, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing appropriate treatment plans, performing surgical procedures, and managing patients requiring advanced medical care. The role also involves building lasting relationships with clients, clearly communicating clinical findings and treatment recommendations, and educating pet owners to support informed decisions about their pets’ health. Veterinarians will have the clinical freedom to uphold high standards of patient care while collaborating with the wider veterinary team. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered for this position.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic testing, internal medicine, pain management, endocrinology, allergy and dermatology services, laser therapy, OFA certifications, and domestic health certificates. Surgical services include spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgery, cranial cruciate ligament repair, mass removal, orthopaedic procedures, dental surgery, and anaesthesia. Additional services include microchipping and urgent care. The hospital also offers access to in-house specialty services, including cardiology, alongside internal specialist consultations for complex cases. As part of a wider veterinary network, the hospital benefits from continuing education resources, structured professional development opportunities, and systems supporting efficient scheduling and clinical workflows. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
