Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its long-established small animal team. Caring for cats, dogs, and pocket pets, this community-focused practice has been serving local families for over 50 years and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to provide high-quality, compassionate care within a supportive environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will deliver individualized medical care to companion animals while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Your clinical responsibilities will include wellness care, diagnostics, basic surgical procedures, internal medicine, dentistry, radiology, vaccinations, microchipping, parasite prevention and control, pocket pet care, and laser therapy. This role offers the opportunity to work independently on a flexible two-day-per-week schedule, including Saturdays, and is suited to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The practice has served the local community for more than 50 years and offers a welcoming, small-town environment with a well-equipped facility. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, microchipping, internal medicine, surgery, laser therapy, in-house laboratory services, pocket pet care, radiology, parasite control and prevention, and animal dentistry. Hospital hours are Monday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Team
You will join a collaborative team of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The practice fosters a close-knit, supportive culture focused on compassionate care and delivering an exceptional experience for both patients and clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
