Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Providing care for cats and dogs, the hospital has been serving Douglas and the surrounding communities since 1972.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide individualized care and customized treatment plans in a comfortable and caring environment, taking a relationship-based approach with both patients and clients. You will manage a varied caseload across appointments and surgeries during the hospital’s opening hours, with both scheduled appointments and walk-in visits available. The hospital is open to discussing scheduling preferences that suit both the incoming veterinarian and the clinic. Applications are welcomed from experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for newer doctors as well as continued career and skill development opportunities for more advanced clinicians.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, with no weekend opening hours. The hospital provides full-service veterinary care including wellness, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, sick and urgent care, end-of-life care, and pain management. The hospital has robust diagnostic capabilities through both in-house testing and partnerships with external laboratories, with access to echocardiograms, ultrasound, and X-ray. The facility also has comfortable indoor boarding kennels with an outdoor walking area for patients.

Team
The hospital has a team of two DVMs alongside an excellent support team who work collaboratively with the doctors to provide excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
