Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian (GP/ER Hybrid DVM) on either a full-time or part-time basis. For over 28 years, this emergency and GP hospital has provided high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs. This is a unique opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing a blend of wellness medicine, urgent care, surgery, and client education while helping shape the future of an expanding veterinary hospital.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of GP and Emergency responsibilities, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload. You will have the opportunity to provide preventive and wellness care, manage internal medicine and urgent care cases, perform dentistry and soft tissue surgery, care for geriatric patients, support puppy and kitten wellness programs, educate clients, and utilize advanced diagnostics to deliver high-quality patient care. Specific working hours will be discussed further. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian who enjoys working across both general practice and emergency medicine in a collaborative environment.
Prctice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The practice provides the full scope of 24/7 Emergency and Urgent Care services alongside the full scope of GP services and Orthopedics, offering a diverse caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, an In-House Laboratory, CT Imaging, Digital Radiographs, Digital Dental X-Ray, and Ultrasound, supporting advanced diagnostics and patient care. Facilities include a state-of-the-art facility, multiple surgical suites, and an In-House Pharmacy. The hospital is VECCS certified, reflecting its commitment to high standards of emergency and critical care. In addition to its clinical services, the practice also provides Cold Laser Therapy and Nutritional Counselling.
Team
You will be joining a team of 14 DVMs, supported by 45 support staff, with a minimum of two technicians or assistants assigned to each doctor. This collaborative environment provides exceptional clinical support across the hospital.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
