Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice focuses exclusively on small animal care and is seeking a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine while building strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, allowing flexibility depending on the candidate’s preference.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, the Associate Veterinarian will focus on building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, becoming a trusted partner in supporting a pet’s lifelong health. The veterinarian will lead patient care from diagnosis through treatment while practicing high-quality medicine and maintaining strong clinical standards. The role also involves clearly communicating findings and treatment plans so clients feel confident and empowered to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s care. The Associate Veterinarian will work collaboratively alongside a supportive paraprofessional team and contribute to maintaining a positive hospital culture. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

The hospital is a very well-equipped facility designed to support high standards of patient care and a wide range of clinical cases. It has earned an excellent 5-star Google rating and has proudly served the Main Line community since 1952. The practice is an AAHA Accredited facility and operates as both a full-service hospital and specialty center. Services are focused on small animal care, urgent care, advanced surgery, cardiology, acupuncture, and laser therapy. Being part of the team means constant exposure to diverse and challenging cases, supported by advanced equipment and experienced professionals. The hospital’s strong network also provides access to internal specialty consultations, ensuring the highest level of clinical integrity for every patient.

Team
The hospital team includes 4 DVMs and 11 support staff, creating a collaborative environment where veterinarians work closely with a supportive paraprofessional team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
