Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian in Des Moines, Washington. This is an opportunity to join a small, dedicated team in a hospital known for delivering high-quality care to both traditional companion animals and a wide range of exotic species.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position can be structured for either part-time or full-time hours, offering flexibility to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical care for dogs and cats, with the opportunity to also treat avian, reptile, amphibian, and small mammal patients if desired. Previous experience in exotics is not required, and mentorship in avian medicine is available under the guidance of a board-certified specialist. The role includes performing wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, and client education while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented culture.

The hospital serves a strong demand for exotic services in the Seattle area while maintaining a robust caseload of canine and feline patients. The practice is well-equipped and focused on fostering mentorship and collaboration within a tight-knit team environment.

The hospital currently has one full-time veterinarian supported by an experienced team of veterinary technicians and support staff committed to delivering exceptional care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
