Job Description

Introduction
This AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Denver, Colorado is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its four-doctor team. The practice provides comprehensive care across small animal general practice, walk-in urgent care and exotic medicine, creating a varied caseload for a veterinarian who enjoys clinical diversity. An interest in treating exotic patients would be welcomed but is not required, allowing doctors to shape their caseload around their own experience and interests.

Working Hours / Rota
The position follows a rotating three-day working week consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm. The anticipated schedule is Wednesday through Friday one week, followed by Thursday through Saturday the next, providing four consecutive days away from the hospital each week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll manage a varied caseload spanning preventative and wellness medicine, diagnostics, treatment planning and walk-in urgent care, with opportunities to see exotic patients for doctors who are interested. You’ll have autonomy over your cases while working collaboratively with the wider clinical team, building long-term client relationships and clearly communicating diagnoses and treatment options. The hospital also provides opportunities for continued clinical development and mentorship, allowing you to expand your interests as your career progresses.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and currently has four veterinarians alongside a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, providing additional experience and support for more advanced surgical cases. The practice combines scheduled general practice appointments with walk-in urgent care and exotic medicine, supported by an experienced paraprofessional team and a collaborative approach to case management. The hospital places a strong emphasis on continued learning, clinical autonomy and providing its veterinarians with the resources needed to deliver consistently high-quality medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
