Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats, dogs, exotics, pocket pets, and ZooMED patients, offering both general practice and urgent care services. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians of all experience levels to join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality medicine in a modern facility.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care across a varied caseload, treating both wellness and sick patients, including exotic species. Responsibilities include preventative care, urgent care, emergency cases, internal medicine, dentistry, general surgery, soft tissue surgery, laser surgery, ophthalmology, and client communication. The role also involves performing health examinations, spays and neuters, diagnostics, and developing treatment plans while working collaboratively with the veterinary team. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The 7,000-square-foot renovated facility includes five exam rooms and a fully functioning operating room. Equipment and facilities include digital radiology, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, Tonopen, an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. Services include advanced care, preventative care, primary care, urgent care, emergency services, ophthalmology, laser surgery, soft tissue surgery, transfusion therapy, internal medicine, dental care, dentistry, general surgery, health examinations, spays and neuters, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, euthanasia services, ZooMED animal care, pet boarding, and home delivery of prescriptions and diets.
Team
You will join a team of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The practice promotes a collaborative culture where veterinarians work closely together, value teamwork and mentorship, and are supported in providing high-quality patient care while continuing to grow professionally.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
