Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Caring for cats and dogs, this small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care supported by advanced technology, modern equipment, and a collaborative clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking to practice high-quality medicine while working alongside a supportive paraprofessional team dedicated to exceptional patient and client care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive patient care through physical examinations, disease diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventative medicine tailored to each patient’s needs. Responsibilities include developing problem-based diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic test results, maintaining detailed medical records, and communicating effectively with clients regarding patient care. Clinical duties include performing routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and mass removals, as well as routine and advanced dental procedures including extractions and oral surgery. You will also manage hospitalized patients, coordinate care with referral hospitals when necessary, participate in clinical rounds, and contribute to the ongoing education of support staff. The role requires collaboration with colleagues to maintain high standards of patient care, teamwork, and client service. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This hospital is equipped with advanced veterinary technology including ultrasound equipment in every hospital, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital radiography. Services include routine wellness care, nose-to-tail examinations, preventative healthcare, comprehensive bloodwork, disease screening, behaviour and anxiety evaluations, nutritional consultations, dental cleanings and consultations, surgery consultations, sick patient care, allergy management, treatment of skin, coat, ear, and eye conditions, pain management, wound care, diagnostic imaging including radiography and ultrasound, vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, fecal testing, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
