Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats alongside a broad range of exotic and pocket pet species, including birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, hedgehogs, and other small mammals. The hospital combines preventative medicine with advanced diagnostics, surgery, orthopedics, reproductive care, and other specialized services within a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care and continued clinical development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care across a varied caseload, building long-term relationships with clients while managing patients from diagnosis through treatment. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative medicine, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostics, cardiology, ophthalmology, pain management, reproductive medicine, exotic and pocket pet care, and advanced surgical procedures. Surgical capabilities include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, CCL repair, TPLO surgery, orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, vulvoplasty, and cystotomy. The veterinarian will communicate findings and treatment plans clearly with clients, educate pet owners on their options, and collaborate closely with the wider hospital team. A DVM degree and valid state veterinary license in good standing are required.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays. The practice is AAHA accredited and provides advanced diagnostic capabilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, and comprehensive blood and laboratory testing. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, vaccinations, dentistry, dermatology, senior care, euthanasia, microchipping, nutrition, parasite prevention, reproductive medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, regenerative medicine, laser therapy, exotic and pocket pet medicine, and advanced surgical care. The hospital also has access to board-certified specialists within a wider clinical network for consultation on complex cases, allowing veterinarians to incorporate additional expertise into patient care where appropriate.

Team
The hospital has four DVMs supported by a collaborative paraprofessional team. The practice places a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, communication, professional development, and creating a supportive environment where veterinarians can continue building their skills. Doctors also have access to internal specialty consultations, educational resources, and wider clinical support to assist with complex case management and continued career growth.
