Our client is a hospital providing care for small animals, pocket pets, and rabbits and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Dalton, Georgia. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will build lasting relationships with clients and their pets while serving as a trusted partner throughout every stage of a pet’s life. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, developing treatment plans, communicating findings and recommendations clearly to clients, and providing high-quality medical care across a broad range of services. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a supportive paraprofessional team and contribute to a positive hospital culture. Clinical exposure includes wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, advanced care, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, behavior therapy, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, acupuncture, laser therapy, and care for pocket pets and rabbits. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited facility dedicated to delivering superior small animal medicine and addressing community needs through dedicated urgent care services. The practice is supported by access to specialty consultations and mentorship resources, helping veterinarians manage complex cases and provide informed treatment recommendations. Equipment and diagnostic capabilities include blood and laboratory testing, veterinary radiology, tonometry, and ultrasound. Services offered include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, acupuncture, behavior therapy, cardiology, laser therapy, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pocket pet care, rabbit care, anesthesia, soft tissue surgery, mass removal procedures, dental surgery, cystotomy, and vulvoplasty. The hospital operates Monday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on weekends.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
