Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital serving the community for over 40 years, providing care for dogs and cats. They are currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian, with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including routine and preventative care as well as broader clinical duties. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, though rotating Saturdays are required. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is equipped with advanced tools including a cold laser, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, tonopen, digital x-ray, and dental x-rays. The facility spans 5000 square feet and includes an in-house pharmacy, isolation ward, and in-office surgical suite. The hospital is AAHA accredited and recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice. Services offered include cold laser therapy, orthopedics, and a full scope of general practice services. Additional offerings include pet boarding, counselling and grooming.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and is supported by a well-tenured group of support staff, maintaining a 2:1 staff to doctor ratio. Staff are committed to using fear-free techniques when possible.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
