Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing companion animal veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. The hospital is a well-established, three-doctor practice with a loyal client base, many of whom have been visiting for generations. The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine while maintaining a supportive working environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including preventive medicine, advanced dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and therapeutic services. The role involves delivering high-quality medical and surgical care, with additional opportunities to provide nutritional and behavioural counselling and end-of-life care. Full-time scheduling options are available across three or four days per week, with Saturday coverage required one to two times per month. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including preventive care, advanced dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, therapeutic services, end-of-life care, nutritional and behavioural counselling, and grooming. Clinical facilities include a fully equipped surgical suite, a dedicated dental suite, in-house laboratory diagnostics, digital radiography, and laser therapy. The hospital places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs and a great tenured support team, with several team members having over 15 years of experience. The practice maintains a high technician-to-doctor ratio, providing veterinarians with strong clinical support throughout the working day. The team is experienced and highly capable, with a supportive environment that prioritises staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
