Introduction
An established veterinary practice in Crozet, Virginia is seeking a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. The practice provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets, combining traditional veterinary medicine with an extensive range of integrative and rehabilitative services. The position provides the opportunity to manage a varied General Practice caseload within a multidisciplinary clinical environment, with an interest in Integrative Medicine particularly welcomed.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will maintain responsibility for their own cases, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and communicating clinical findings and recommendations effectively with clients. The broad clinical offering provides opportunities to work with companion animals alongside avian and exotic patients, while the practice’s established Integrative Medicine and Rehabilitation services provide additional options for multimodal patient management.

Practice Details
The practice provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Avian and Exotic Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Acupuncture, Chiropractic Care, Herbal and Nutritional Therapies and Canine Rehabilitation. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Dental Radiography, Ultrasound, In-House Laboratory, In-House ECG, Anesthetic Monitoring and an In-House Pharmacy. Rehabilitation capabilities include an Underwater Treadmill, Laser Therapy, Therapeutic Ultrasound and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation, providing additional options for postoperative recovery, pain management and mobility cases. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sundays.

Team
The practice has an established veterinary team with experience spanning traditional General Practice, Integrative Medicine, Avian and Exotic Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry, Rehabilitation, pain management and palliative care. Several veterinarians hold additional certifications in areas including Veterinary Acupuncture, Canine Rehabilitation and Veterinary Spinal Manipulation, while the team also has access to a board-certified Veterinary Surgeon. The team has 7 veterinarians supported by an established group of assistants and administrative professionals, providing a collaborative environment for case management and continued professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
