Introduction
Our client is a mixed animal veterinary practice seeking a full-time Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice has been providing veterinary care for nearly 40 years and offers an approximately 50/50 split between large and small animal medicine. The caseload includes dogs, cats, horses, cattle, swine, poultry, small ruminants, and other livestock, offering a varied role for a veterinarian interested in developing broad clinical skills across companion animal and agricultural medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventative, diagnostic, medical, dental, and surgical care across a diverse mixed animal caseload. Small animal responsibilities include preventative and sick-care appointments, dentistry, urgent cases, soft tissue surgery, and opportunities to perform select orthopedic procedures. Large animal work includes cow/calf medicine, pregnancy checks, bull fertility examinations, calving cases, herd-health programs, primary equine care, reproductive services, foal care, and treatment of small ruminants and other livestock. The veterinarian will also provide ambulatory large animal services using the practice’s veterinary truck and participate in a rotating large animal after-hours emergency schedule. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for those early in their careers.

Practice Details
The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays. Diagnostic capabilities include in-house CBC and chemistry analyzers, digital radiography with AI-supported radiograph interpretation, and diagnostic ultrasound. Additional services include cattle and equine medicine, equine sports medicine, small ruminant care, dentistry, surgery, cold laser therapy, acupuncture, in-house diagnostics, nutritional counseling, parasite prevention, vaccinations, microchipping, senior pet care, wellness medicine, and boarding. The practice combines the varied caseload of mixed animal medicine with modern diagnostics and opportunities for doctors to develop their individual clinical interests.

Team
The practice has three DVMs supported by an experienced veterinary team. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, with strong technician support allowing doctors to concentrate on patient care. New graduates have access to structured veterinary mentorship, while all doctors are supported in developing their clinical interests and practicing with medical autonomy.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
