Introduction
Our client is a well-established 24-hour general practice and emergency hospital that has served the area for 25 years and is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The clinic sees cats and dogs and is equipped with the latest veterinary technology and services.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, offering a varied and engaging caseload. The position offers flexibility with either three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week. The hospital is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, providing an environment suitable for a range of experience levels.
Practice Details
The hospital operates 24/7 and is fully equipped with advanced technology including a Covidien Force Triad, two Class IV Companion lasers, a flexible videoscope, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and dental X-ray, among other equipment. Facilities include a well-equipped dental suite, isolation ward, intensive care unit, in-office surgical suite, and in-house pharmacy. The practice is AAHA-accredited, recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice, and affiliated with the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Services offered include chiropractic care, laser therapy, rigid endoscopy, certified pain management, advanced dental care, ophthalmology, orthopedics, video otoscopy, medical acupuncture, root canals, oxygen and transfusion therapy, as well as a full range of emergency and general practice services. The hospital is committed to using fear-free techniques when possible and also provides pet counselling, and climate-controlled pet boarding.
Team
The team consists of 10 DVMs supported by a large and well-trained group of support staff, maintaining a minimum 2:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The environment is well-supported, ensuring veterinarians can deliver high-quality care efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
