Job Description

Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Cornelia, Georgia is seeking a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. Serving the local community since 1980, the hospital is AAHA accredited and provides comprehensive veterinary care within a full-service General Practice environment. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship available to support continued clinical development. The position provides the opportunity to manage a varied caseload with clinical autonomy while working alongside an experienced veterinary and support team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, developing effective client relationships and communicating diagnostic findings and treatment recommendations clearly. The role provides autonomy over clinical decision-making while working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team, with access to internal specialty consultation when additional clinical input is required.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, advanced medical care, Orthopedics and Behavioral Care. The well-equipped practice provides access to modern diagnostic equipment including x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, tonometry and an endoscope to support the investigation and management of medical and surgical cases. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an established team of 4 experienced veterinarians and veterinary support professionals working collaboratively. The clinical team is supported by veterinary technicians, assistants and client service professionals who contribute to patient care and day-to-day hospital operations. New graduates have access to structured mentorship and support as they develop their clinical confidence and experience, while experienced veterinarians are provided with the autonomy to manage their own cases and further develop their individual clinical interests.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
