Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time opportunity within a small animal clinic that sees dogs, cats, and small mammals, including exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. The hospital promotes a compassionate, patient-focused approach and offers a supportive environment with a strong emphasis on mentorship and professional development, including a structured 12-month mentorship program.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves delivering comprehensive veterinary care across wellness, diagnostics, and treatment cases. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, radiology, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, grooming-related health support, urgent care, and medical observation. The position supports both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, with weekends closed. The practice utilizes radiology as a key diagnostic tool alongside in-house diagnostics. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, radiology, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, grooming, exotic animal care, urgent care, and medical observation. Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a group of experienced veterinary professionals. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on mentorship, teamwork, and delivering high-quality patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
