Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is an AAHA-accredited animal hospital committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate patient care. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, consistency, and building lasting relationships with clients, the hospital offers a close-knit working environment where veterinarians can develop their clinical skills while providing personalized care to the local community.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including routine examinations, preventive medicine, primary care, diagnostic testing, advanced medical treatments, and dental care. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and managing medical conditions, developing appropriate treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic results, and providing ongoing care for patients requiring advanced medical attention. The role also involves communicating clinical findings and treatment recommendations, educating pet owners on preventive healthcare, and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered for this position, with dedicated mentorship available for those beginning their veterinary careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and offers a range of veterinary services, including preventive and primary care, advanced medical care, advanced dentistry, and feline hyperthyroidism care. Diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory with chemistry capabilities, digital radiography, hands-free radiology, ultrasound, and ECG technology. Additional services include pet counseling and grooming, allowing the hospital to support a variety of patient and client needs. The practice emphasizes consistent, high-quality care and maintains established relationships with its client base. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with veterinarians also expected to work one Saturday per month from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Team
The hospital currently has one experienced DVM supported by a tenured team consisting of three veterinary assistants, two receptionists, and one groomer. The team is close-knit, with long-serving employees who share a strong commitment to patient care, client relationships, and supporting one another. The working environment emphasizes collaboration, open communication, and consistency, creating a positive atmosphere for both experienced veterinarians and those at the beginning of their careers. New graduates will benefit from dedicated mentorship and the opportunity to develop their clinical confidence alongside an established veterinarian and experienced support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
