Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing high-quality, community-focused veterinary care, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative team in a flexible part-time role.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position, offering a two-day workweek with a rotating Saturday schedule. The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with Sunday closed. Additional evening and weekend appointments are available as needed.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care, with a focus on wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. The role requires confidence in surgery, strong client communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities include delivering preventive medicine, managing chronic conditions, performing procedures, and working collaboratively with the wider team. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

This is a well-established hospital serving the greater Richmond community, focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a warm and community-oriented setting. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound, dental radiography, and full-body imaging, as well as in-house laboratory capabilities. Services offered include preventive care, examinations, pain management, chronic disease management, hospice care, euthanasia, dental care, spay and neuter, soft tissue surgery, and in-house diagnostics. The hospital emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and a collaborative culture, with a strong focus on client relationships and team support.
Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
