Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides comprehensive veterinary care with a focus on high-quality medicine, patient care, and client experience.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat disease, and provide preventive care based on each patient’s individual needs. Responsibilities include developing problem lists, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and appropriate treatments, as well as maintaining detailed medical records. The veterinarian will perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays and neuters, abdominal exploratory procedures, and mass removals, alongside dental examinations, dental radiograph evaluation, simple and complex extractions, and oral surgery. The role also includes developing treatment plans for day-hospitalized patients, coordinating transitions to overnight or referral care when required, and participating in clinical rounds. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides routine wellness care, vaccinations, microchipping, treatment for illness and injury, imaging, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and prescriptions. Clinical equipment includes ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital radiography. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.

Team members are encouraged to expand their skill sets and develop expertise in areas such as dentistry and nutrition, while veterinarians contribute to knowledge sharing and clinical communication across the team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
