Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Clearwater, Florida, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their long-standing small animal practice. For 40 years, this clinic has served the community with compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and is currently undergoing an exciting remodel that will introduce a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced technology to support exceptional medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
This role can be full or part time. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include radiology, dermatology, ultrasonography, nutritional counseling, microchipping, therapeutic laser treatments, wellness care, flea prevention and control, heartworm prevention, tick prevention, dentistry, spaying and neutering, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, declaw procedures, and surgical laser services. Tonometry and ear cropping will be introduced soon. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is currently being remodeled into a modern, state-of-the-art facility featuring digital radiology, therapeutic laser, ultrasound, and surgical laser technology. Services provided include radiology, dermatology, ultrasonography, nutritional counseling, microchipping, surgical procedures, wellness care, parasite prevention, dentistry, spaying and neutering, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, declaw services, and soon-to-be-added tonometry and ear cropping. The practice maintains a community-centered, collaborative, and supportive culture with strong resources and mentorship.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a great support staff in a collaborative and respectful environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
