Our client is a hospital providing high-quality veterinary care for cats, dogs, and exotic pets and is currently hiring an Associate Veterinarian. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, providing a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend coverage required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups, performing diagnostic procedures and surgery, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves clear client communication and education, pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and adhering to controlled substance protocols, and promoting teamwork and staff efficiency. Additional responsibilities include working with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities, evaluating and monitoring protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge, monitoring hospitalized cases and attending daily rounds when possible, participating in practice management updates and training at all levels, and performing other duties as assigned by management. The position requires at least one year of experience in a veterinary practice.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with cold laser therapy, digital radiography (X-rays), ultrasound, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, ECG, and digital dental X-rays. The facility is conveniently located and offers a relaxed working environment. Services provided include vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, internal medicine, dental care, diagnostics and laboratory services, cold laser therapy, alternative therapies such as PRP and PEMF treatments, and care for exotic pets. The practice culture emphasizes progressive medicine, teamwork, and openness to innovative approaches.

Team
The team includes one DVM supported by seven staff members. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with efficient support staff enabling veterinarians to focus on patient care while working closely together on complex cases.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
