Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital located in Clayton, NC. Established in 1986, this state-of-the-art hospital is home to a large, multi-doctor team providing comprehensive veterinary care to the local community and beyond. They are now seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 1:00pm, with Sundays closed. This is a full-time role with a schedule that offers a healthy balance of weekday and limited Saturday hours. No after-hours emergency requirements are included. However, they are open to discussing your preferred schedule to see if this is something that they could offer.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care while developing rapport with clients through clear communication and education. Responsibilities include physical examinations, diagnostic and surgical procedures, and preventive health care. The role requires maintaining accurate patient records, supporting the development of the support staff, and staying current with continuing education. The position is best suited for veterinarians with at least some clinical experience, and proficiency in surgery is considered an advantage.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including advanced diagnostic equipment, digital imaging, and laser therapy. Services offered cover wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, surgery, behavior therapy, and rehabilitation. The practice culture is collaborative, innovative, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on client education and compassionate patient care.

Team
You will be joining a team of nine veterinarians supported by a highly skilled and dedicated group of support staff. The environment is progressive and team-focused, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and delivering exceptional standards of care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
