A full-service veterinary hospital in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its established team. Working Hours / Rota
This position follows a consistent weekly schedule with hospital hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays. The structured daytime schedule allows for predictable hours while maintaining a strong appointment flow and case variety throughout the week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver comprehensive small animal care, including wellness examinations, diagnostics, medical case management, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. A strong emphasis is placed on a problem-based medical approach, developing complete differential lists, diagnostic plans, and evidence-based treatment protocols. Responsibilities include performing routine and more advanced surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and exploratory surgeries, as well as full dental evaluations with radiographic interpretation and extractions.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound in every location, heated hydraulic surgery tables, digital dental radiography, and comprehensive diagnostic tools designed to support efficient and thorough patient care. Medical records are maintained electronically to streamline workflow and communication. The environment emphasizes structured medical protocols, quality assurance, and ongoing case review to continually elevate clinical standards. With access to experienced medical field leaders and operational support, veterinarians are positioned to focus on medicine while benefiting from strong systems and resources.

Team
You will work alongside a dedicated paraprofessional team trained to expand their expertise in dentistry, nutrition, and advanced patient care. While this role does not carry direct supervisory responsibilities, the Associate Veterinarian functions as a clinical leader within the hospital, guiding standards of care and supporting team development through daily collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
