Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a mixed animal hospital that has been caring for pets and livestock in the community since 2002. They are looking for a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join the practice on either a full-time or part-time basis, working with a diverse caseload that includes dogs, cats, cattle, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, camelids, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, deer, and other exotics.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Mixed Animal Veterinarian will provide a broad range of clinical care across companion animals, large animals, livestock, equine patients, and exotics. Responsibilities will include companion animal wellness and sick care, surgery, dentistry, urgent and emergency cases, large animal medicine, and the wider scope of mixed animal general practice. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the opportunity is suitable for either an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, alongside urgent and in-house emergency care. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, EKG, and on-site laboratory capabilities. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital is home to a team of two DVMs who are supported by a great team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
