Our client is a well-established small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its knowledgeable and supportive team. The clinic provides care for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets, though doctors who prefer to focus only on dogs and cats are also welcome. With over 25 years serving the community, the hospital is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care in a fear-free, low-stress environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. The position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time schedules available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a variety of clinical duties including wellness exams, preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical procedures. The hospital also provides advanced treatments such as laser surgery and therapy laser, offering opportunities to expand surgical and medical skills. Veterinarians will have the chance to tailor their caseload to their interests, whether that includes exotics or a focus on cats and dogs. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and those newer to practice, with a supportive environment designed to foster growth.
Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with modern technology, including digital radiology, an on-site laboratory for fast diagnostics, laser surgery, therapy laser, and a comprehensive pharmacy. Preventive dental care, nutrition services, behavior counseling, and end-of-life care are also offered, ensuring a complete range of veterinary services. The facility prides itself on creating a welcoming, low-stress experience for pets and their families.
Team
The practice is home to seven experienced veterinarians who work collaboratively and bring a wealth of knowledge to the team. The culture is supportive, mentoring-focused, and team-oriented, ensuring that both patients and staff are well cared for.
