Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital that is hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees cats, dogs, exotics, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and ferrets within a facility designed specifically for dedicated small animal practice, ensuring smooth workflow and effective patient care management. The practice offers a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment focused on delivering comprehensive veterinary medicine across both general practice and urgent care services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities with additional support provided to the hospital’s urgent care service. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload including companion animals and exotic pets while delivering high-quality diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, preventative care, and client communication. Specific doctor hours will be discussed. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates. The practice provides robust internal education programs designed to foster continued clinical development while also offering opportunities for career progression into leadership roles within the organization.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, and endoscope equipment, supporting advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities across a varied caseload. The practice holds AAHA accreditation, reflecting its commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and patient care. Services offered include laser surgery, orthopedics, urgent care, and a full scope of general practice services. In addition, the hospital also provides laser therapy and pet behavioral therapy, supporting a comprehensive and patient-focused approach to veterinary care.

Team
The practice is home to a team of five veterinarians supported by a collaborative and highly structured support staff. The hospital maintains a minimum 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, ensuring veterinarians are well supported in delivering high-quality patient care. The collaborative culture across the hospital encourages teamwork, communication, and shared clinical excellence, creating an environment focused on providing seamless and compassionate care to both patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
