Introduction
Our client is an established, community-focused small animal hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice primarily cares for dogs and cats and has been serving its community since 1955. The hospital offers a diverse caseload across preventative, medical, dental, diagnostic, and surgical care and is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care including wellness examinations, vaccinations and preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, and surgery. Surgical opportunities include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dental extractions, and oral surgery. Doctors will also build ongoing relationships with clients and work collaboratively with the wider team to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care. Veterinarians typically work four eight-hour days per week with one to two Saturdays per month. Schedules are created one month in advance, with rotating schedules providing opportunities for extended weekends. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and support available to help develop their medical and surgical skills.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays and holidays. The hospital has maintained AAHA standards for more than 40 years and offers digital radiography, ultrasound, modern surgical and anesthetic monitoring, an intensive care area, and in-house laboratory capabilities including serum chemistry, hematology, serology, parasite testing, cytology, and histopathology. Radiographs can also be submitted to a board-certified radiologist for consultation when required, with access to additional external and specialized diagnostic support. Clinical services include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, oral surgery, diagnostic imaging, ultrasonography, dietary planning, spay and neuter procedures, and a range of elective, soft tissue, and orthopedic surgeries. The practice serves a diverse client population, including many Spanish-speaking families, with bilingual team members available to assist with translation.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs working within an experienced and collaborative veterinary team. The environment is focused on teamwork, continued learning, and supporting doctors in providing high-quality patient care. New graduates have access to mentorship and support, while experienced veterinarians have opportunities to continue developing their clinical skills and individual style of practicing medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
