Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team treating cats and dogs, with opportunities to work with exotic and avian species. This full-service veterinary hospital is located in scenic Chester, MD and offers the opportunity to practice advanced medicine in a supportive, community-based clinic with a loyal client base and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide wellness, diagnostic, surgical, and dental care for a variety of species including dogs, cats, exotics, and birds. Responsibilities include preventative care, medical treatment, surgery, and client education focused on maintaining long-term pet health and wellbeing. The role involves collaborating closely with a dedicated veterinary team to deliver compassionate patient and client care. This position is best suited to an experienced veterinarian with an interest in small animal medicine and a passion for exotic and avian care.

Practice Details
This full-service veterinary hospital is equipped with digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, and a modern surgical suite. Services offered include preventative care, medical care, surgical services, avian medicine and surgery, exotic pet medicine and surgery, pet supplies, and additional veterinary services. The hospital emphasizes preventative medicine, rapid treatment of disease and injury, and client education to support healthy and happy pets. Located near Chesapeake Bay, the clinic serves a close-knit community with a loyal client base. Hospital hours are Monday through Wednesday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, Thursday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 7:30am to 1:00pm.

The hospital currently has 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and focused on providing compassionate care and strong client relationships.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
