Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced and collaborative team. This AAHA-accredited practice offers a modern clinical environment, advanced medical capabilities, and a strong commitment to patient care. With mentorship available for new graduates and opportunities for experienced veterinarians to continue growing their skills, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-equipped hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical care to canine and feline patients while building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. Responsibilities include performing wellness examinations, diagnostics, preventive care, dentistry, anesthesia, pain management, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, and general surgical procedures. You will also manage medical cases, interpret diagnostic findings, educate pet owners, and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available for those beginning their careers.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital underwent a major renovation four years ago and offers a modern facility designed to support high-quality veterinary medicine. The hospital features three full surgical suites, a dedicated internal medicine suite, a dental suite, digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, Tonopen technology, an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, an in-office surgical suite, and isolation facilities. Advanced support is available through a board-certified internal medicine specialist providing ultrasound services three days per week and a board-certified cardiologist who visits monthly. Services include advanced care, primary care, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, full diagnostics, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, health examinations, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, euthanasia services, and feline hyperthyroidism management. The hospital follows Fear Free principles and operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The schedule consists of four weekdays with a rotating half-day Saturday and no on-call responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
