Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive small animal veterinary care, seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is an opportunity to work in a long-standing, community-focused practice with a strong emphasis on dentistry and high-quality patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position with flexibility. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays, with Saturday coverage included as part of the rota.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload including wellness care, dentistry, and surgical procedures such as soft tissue surgery and routine surgeries. The role involves performing diagnostics, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and delivering excellent client communication. There is a strong focus on dentistry within the practice, alongside general medical and surgical care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

This is an AAHA accredited hospital with a long-standing presence in the community, offering a welcoming, hometown feel. The facility includes a dedicated cat room, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, in-office surgical suite, and isolation ward, alongside advanced equipment such as digital radiology, ultrasound, tonopen, and video otoscopy. Services include advanced dental care, animal rehabilitation, dermatology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, full diagnostics, emergency care, hospice care, and pain management. The practice places strong emphasis on dentistry and collaborative, high-quality care.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
