Introduction
An established General Practice in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team. Established in 2000, the hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, with a focus on individualized medicine and long-term client relationships. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship available to support continued clinical development. An interest or experience in exotic medicine would also be welcomed for a veterinarian interested in helping develop this area of the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, maintaining effective client communication and working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team. Mentorship is available for veterinarians looking to further develop their surgical or dental skills. The part-time schedule is structured around two weekday shifts, likely Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with some flexibility available. There are no on-call responsibilities.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, including comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care, alongside same-day appointments for patients requiring more immediate assessment. The practice also has a particular strength in veterinary dentistry, with a dental residency-trained veterinarian and a dedicated dental surgical suite. Well equipped practice with modern diagnostic equipment. The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an experienced veterinary and support team with decades of combined clinical experience and a strong focus on continued education and professional development. The veterinary team includes a dental residency-trained veterinarian, providing additional expertise in routine and advanced dental care. There are 2 DVMs at the practice. The incoming Associate Veterinarian will work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support team while maintaining responsibility for their own cases. New graduates also have access to structured mentorship, individualized development plans and additional training opportunities to support their transition into clinical practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
