Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a brand-new, full-service emergency and multi-specialty hospital located just north of Charlotte, NC in Huntersville. They are seeking an Internist to join their growing specialty team and help establish the hospital as a leading provider of advanced internal medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexibility to discuss scheduling needs. The hospital operates 24/7 to provide emergency and specialty coverage, while specialist schedules are designed to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internist will be responsible for delivering advanced internal medicine services, including management of complex cases, chronic disease treatment, and advanced diagnostics. Clinical duties include performing and interpreting procedures such as ultrasound-guided sampling and endoscopy, creating tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with emergency and specialty colleagues to provide comprehensive patient care. This position is ideally suited for board-certified or residency-trained Internists who are excited to help develop and grow the internal medicine service in a new specialty hospital.

The hospital is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging, a full in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and modern surgical suites. With a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, the hospital provides 24/7 emergency services alongside specialty services in areas such as surgery, radiology, and critical care. The culture is collaborative, innovative, and focused on delivering excellence in medicine.
Team
You will join a team of emergency veterinarians, specialists, and skilled support staff working together in a highly collaborative environment. As one of the first Internists at the hospital, you will have the opportunity to shape the internal medicine service and play a key role in the development of this new facility.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
