Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their modern and community-focused small animal practice in Charleston, South Carolina. This full-service clinic serves the dogs and cats of the surrounding areas, providing high-quality preventive and surgical care in a newly built facility opened in 2021.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position. The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm and Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Weekend coverage includes Saturdays on rotation, with no after-hours requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians. Clinical responsibilities include routine wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education. Candidates should be confident performing standard surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental treatments, and have a strong commitment to client communication and patient advocacy.
Practice Details
The hospital operates from a recently constructed facility designed to support a high standard of care and a positive clinical workflow. Services include preventative medicine, diagnostics, general surgery, and dentistry. The practice emphasizes a proactive, personalized approach to pet health, supported by modern equipment and a well-organized clinical space.
Team
The team includes two DVMs and a dedicated, experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong emphasis on communication, team development, and providing a warm and welcoming experience for clients and patients alike.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
