Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in Chantilly, Virginia, and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. The hospital is a well-established small animal facility committed to delivering high-quality medical and surgical care throughout Northern Virginia. Recognized as one of the Best Veterinarians of 2026 by Northern Virginia Magazine, the hospital offers an opportunity to practice advanced veterinary medicine within a supportive environment that emphasizes clinical excellence and professional development.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including wellness examinations, preventive medicine, diagnostic investigations, surgery, and dentistry. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing medical conditions, developing treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic results, and performing routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures. The role also involves orthopedic surgery, dental procedures, pre-surgical evaluations, anesthesia planning, pain management, and post-operative care. The hospital is specifically seeking an experienced veterinarian who is confident delivering high-quality medical and surgical care while maintaining strong client relationships. The full-time position involves approximately 30–40 hours per week.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic testing, surgical procedures, dentistry, and boarding. Diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. A modern surgical suite supports a range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, with established protocols for pre-surgical blood work, individualized anesthesia plans, pain management, and post-operative recovery. The hospital is a member of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (VVMA) and maintains active involvement with local veterinary organizations and communities. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
