Introduction
An established, independently owned small animal hospital in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced and well supported clinical team. Serving cats and dogs exclusively, this practice has been part of the local community since 1982 and is known for its thoughtful approach to medicine, strong technician support, and appointment structure that allows veterinarians to practice to a high standard without feeling rushed. Both full time and part time options are available depending on experience and preference.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the practice closed on Sundays. Weekdays may be structured either as appointment days or dedicated surgery days, typically running 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm. Saturdays are worked on a rotating basis with two doctors scheduled, averaging two Saturdays on and three Saturdays off. This rotation supports consistency in coverage while protecting personal time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for cats and dogs, including preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Appointment lengths are intentionally designed to support quality medicine, with thirty minutes as the standard for routine visits and extended appointments of up to one hour for more complex or medically intensive cases. The role is well suited to an experienced veterinarian but mentorship is available for a new graduate who is eager to learn in a supportive setting.

Practice Details
This non corporate practice is well equipped to support efficient, high quality small animal medicine. The hospital utilizes electronic medical records with Cornerstone, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cold therapeutic laser, CO2 surgical laser, and an in house IDEXX laboratory. The layout includes seven exam rooms, a separate surgical suite with two operating tables, and a dedicated dental area with two wet tables. Technician support averages 2.5 technicians per doctor, with two technicians assisting on appointment days, allowing veterinarians to stay focused on patient care and client communication. Fear conscious handling techniques are incorporated into daily workflows to support low stress patient experiences.

The staffing model is designed to support two full time veterinarians, with flexibility for part time depending on the candidate. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
