Introduction
This established small animal and exotics practice in Centerville, Utah is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. Founded in 1990, the hospital has built an outstanding reputation for providing high-quality care to dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other exotic species throughout Davis County. With two veterinarians currently on staff and a board-certified avian specialist available for collaboration, this is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to develop their skills in both companion animal and exotic medicine. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with a rotating Saturday schedule and no after-hours responsibilities, supporting an excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventative care for a diverse caseload consisting of approximately 50% dogs and cats and 50% avian and exotic species. You’ll utilise advanced diagnostic equipment, collaborate on complex cases with the hospital’s avian specialist, and work approximately 40 hours per week with rotating Saturday coverage and no after-hours or Sunday responsibilities. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates with a strong interest in exotic medicine are encouraged to apply.

Team
You’ll become part of a collaborative team of two veterinarians working alongside experienced support staff, with direct access to a board-certified avian specialist for mentorship and complex case collaboration. The hospital promotes continuous learning, teamwork, and clinical excellence, creating an environment where veterinarians can build confidence while expanding their expertise in exotic animal medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
