Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital serving the needs of Cedar Park, Leander, Brushy Creek, Round Rock and the surrounding Austin communities since 1988. They are currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees cats, dogs, exotics, birds, and pocket pets. Additionally, their veterinarians can make farm calls for horses, sheep, goats, pigs and cattle.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position can accommodate either full-time or part-time availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will handle full general practice duties including surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and wellness care, with opportunities to partake in reproduction, orthopedic surgery, and eastern medicine, and they welcome other clinical interests. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a state-of-the-art in-house lab, digital x-rays, ultrasound, EKG, the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment, endoscope, video otoendoscope, and tonometer. Their veterinarians offer services including laser therapy, blood and plasma transfusions, animal reproduction and Chinese herbal medicine, with surgeries performed including dentistry, ACL repair and other orthopedic surgeries, soft tissue, and mass removal.

The hospital has 6 DVMs supported by a fantastic, very highly trained team in a collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
